My Havaianas Happy Sole!

When I learned about the Havaianas Happy Sole promo where all one had to do was answer the question: If anything was possible, what would you do to make everyone happy for a day, I immediately jotted down ideas: 1. Give everyone the chance to re-live their happiest moments (wedding day, child birth, 7th birthday, graduation, etc.) 2. Give everyone a 2 month vacation to any destination they wish for free and with a $1M shopping budget. 3. Get to spend the whole day, worry free, with the person they love the most. These are just some of my ideas, and believe me the list just went on and on. But my good friend Oh actually made the video and got to the top ten with the answer: Make everyone relive their favorite childhood moments. It was fun to help her out with the shoot and the campaign for online votes, but unfortunately, we lost. But there's always next time! And next time, we win!

Chocolate Fire...you're hot!

I love my friends. They let me try things I wouldn't normally do or know about due to my lack of free time. This mother's day, I got a really great gift from them. I love chocolates and spicy food, and knowing that, they got me the most delectable spicy chocolate ever: Chocolate fire. Coming all the way from Australia, CF launched in the Philippines and has been serving extraordinary chocolate creations ever since. Situated in the heart of Makati, Chocolate Fire serves not only an extensive (to say the least) array of mouth watering chocolate confections but sandwiches, salad and a variety of beverages as well. Furthermore, CF assures its customers chemical-free sweets and goodies which gives you a guilt-free feeling with every morsel. May I reccommend the chocolate-dipp ed giant strawberries or the chocolate dipped pringles for a different twist to your all time favorite sweet snack. Kudos to you Chocolate Fire! May you sweeten the lives of all who are fortunate enough to cons...

Life after Starbucks 2

Oh yeah, there are a couple of other alternative coffee places I forgot to mention but are totally worth mentioning: Kopi Roti If you're looking for coffee with an Asian twist, try Kopi Roti's simple yet addictive kopi with their signature partner pastries: Kopi Bun, French Toast (my favorite is peanut butter), and Kaya Toast. Delicious and easy on the pocket too! Tsoko-nut Batirol If you want to have a hot drink with your kids, try Tsoko-nut Batirol for a Filipino treat. The familiar, grainy texture of the hot chocolate will surely be different from the other hot drinks you may be accustomed to, but it's definitely worth trying. Their bibingka and dinuguan with puto is a sure hit for anyone with an appetite for a filling merienda snack. That's my son K, tasting bibingka for the first time, and loving it. :) Yummy dinuguan (pig's blood stew) and puto! Terrific tandem!

Life after Starbucks

In the early 2000's, when Starbucks appealed more to the working class, it was fun to hang out and enjoy your favorite cup of coffee or frappuccino with your closest friends. Service was great. Baristas would create relationships with their regular customers and give fast and precise service. Today, it's utter chaos. As much as I still enjoy the hot and cold drinks it offers, I noticed service isn't as impressive, and the crowd has become a bit more rowdy than before. This is why, I sought to find alternative coffee shops where I can enjoy my favorite drink in peace: Red Ribbon Red Ribbon's cappuccino was sooth on the palette as well as the pocket. My friend and i enjoyed not only RR's new coffee choices but it's revamped dishes as well: Delicious Grilled Ensaymada with Farmer's Ham and Eggs was a pleasant surprise. We were simply...

3D LED TV, Baby!

I love my job. I get to go to so any event launches and feel privileged to know what's coming out in the market and get a first hand try at it before the general population get a glimpse of it up close. So when I got the invite from Samsung to attend the launch of their new 3D LED TVs, I was ecstatic! It started out just like one of those theme park rides where you were given funny glasses in the beginning and were made to experience the full 3D experience. Here's the full commercial for you to enjoy:
